Professional Cave Guide (position filled for 2023)
 

Cody Cave Tours are seeking a seasonal professional cave guide to escort clients throughout the Cody Cave system.  This is a fun but challenging position where client safety and cave conservation are our number one priority.  Our company is now in its tenth year of operations and the successful applicant will have personal development opportunities as our business continues to grow. 

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

> Perform regular interpretive guided tours for clients and maintain accurate tour log. 

> Ensure accurate liability waiver completion by all clients.

> Maintain solid working relations with BC Parks, local authorities and business's. 

> Ensure equipment is kept clean and in excellent condition. 

> Must be completely flexible to work weekends and public holidays as required.  

Personal experience and qualifications should include but are not limited to:

 

> A fun easy going nature, who embraces a challenge and is able to work under own initiative. 

> Excellent interpersonal skills and a sound active knowledge of the outdoors. 

> Prefered work history in a tourism environment. 

> Minimum level 1 First aid certificate.

> Knowledge of the caving environment (training will be given for the Cody system)

Office Administrator (position filled for 2023)

 

Cody Cave Tours are seeking an office administrator for our busy office.  This position will offer the successful candidate ongoing personal development as our company continues to grow.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

 

> Regular updates to our social media marketing platforms.

> Perform office duties, make tour reservations, allocate timely workloads to guides. 

> Maintain accurate data, spreadsheets and records. 

> Maintain good working relations with BC Parks, local authorities and business's. 

> Perform guide duties for clients during busy periods. 

> Must be flexible and work weekends and public holidays as required.

> Assist with equipment maintenance

 

Personal experience and qualifications should include but are not limited to:

 

> A fun easy going nature, who embraces a challenge and is able to work under own initiative. 

> Excellent interpersonal skills and a sound active knowledge of the outdoors. 

> Experience within a tourism environment.

> First aid certification, and an understanding of Health and Safety requirements. 

> Good knowledge of the outdoor environment (training will be given for Cody).
